I am taking a few minutes out of this crazy afternoon to put something up on my pitiful blog. I am simply asking myself.... should I even call myself a blogger? August? Has it really been that long? There are so many things I can hit on, so in keeping with my favorite blogging mechanism, I'll do my Top 5 Fall Moments/ Events/ Themes that have consumed my life...
(In no particular order...)
1. The Grand Ole Party... I have LIVED and BREATHED politics, really more GOP talk for the last year. My candidate of choice for Governor didn't make it out of the run-off but more importantly the Republicans took over the House of Rep. in the state of Alabama for the first time in 136 years. I may have lost all of the readers I had with the first moment, but this was HUGE! I am a proud member of the Hubbard family in Auburn and my "Auburn Dad" was the architect of the campaign to win back our state! He is now the speaker-elect for the House of Representatives! I am so proud and excited to call them one of my many "2nd" families. Here is a great article on what happened on November 2nd.
2. I am sure God keeps no one waiting unless He sees that it is good for him to wait-C.S. Lewis.... This is my life's theme. I believe we are all waiting on something at one time or another. Sometimes the wait is simple and sometimes it seems too much to bear. I love watching the Lord grant me things I have longed for and desire. He is faithful, even when we are not. More on this subject, here.
3. Football.... for the love of the game, please, please please let's end this Cam garbage ASAP. No, I don't have an inside source, no, I can't tell Dr. Gogue to call UF's President or the CEO of ESPN/ABC, but I do know I want this to end SOON! Best tweet of the year about this garbage, "#evilcamnewton broke into Antoine Dodson's sister's apartment... you know it was him. #HideYoKidsHideYoWife"

I spy Blake Jackson...
4. Baby Maddox... I am in that stage of life, my friends are having babies, but baby Maddox coming into the world was surreal. Katherine and I came and went from the hospital. I think I was the ONLY person sad he wasn't born on November 2nd (see #1.) KK and I met him for the first time in the early hours of November 3rd, a moment I will never forget. KK, Anne and I wrapped ourselves around Maddox and prayed that the Lord would lead him to be a man of the Lord and allow AM and Chris the grace to do it. Thank the Lord for faithful, God-fearing friends.
5. First Pres. Opelika... I joined a church for the first time since third grade. It may sound strange but it was one of the best days. I have prayed for a church home for some time. This is more than I ever thought I would find in Auburn. They truly are the hands and feet of Christ, in word and deed. It has been such a sweet addition to my life.
Here is my life in pictures... football...
